Established in April 2002, Shanghai Electronic Manufacturers Association (SEMA) is a cross-sector, trans-ownership and non-profit industry organization as legal person organized voluntarily by electronics R&D, manufacturing, processing and service enterprises and institutions in Shanghai.
SEMA currently has 170 members of various ownerships and an Intelligent Equipment Committee.
SEMA provides latest development trend and information to the electronics industry and enterprises via its website www.sh-e.com.cn; publishes Shanghai Electronics information (monthly of SEMA), Automotive Electronic and Electrical Devices (monthly), Directory of Shanghai Electronic Manufacturers, and Sourcing Guide for Electronic Manufacturers in Yangtze Delta; organizes visits to explore domestic and international markets; regularly holds international electronics exhibitions; formulates electronics industry standards and industry norms; carries out promotion activities for electronics brands; and assists the government to map out and implement the electronics manufacturing industry planning.
